Is The Movie #Alive, Worth To Watch?

Is #Alive worth watching?

Final Verdict: Yes. 7.3 In the scale of Worthiness.

Alive is a 2020 South Korean Zombie apocalypse action horror film directed by Cho Il-hyung. It stars Yoo Ah-in and Park Hye.
The film shows a video game streamer fighting for his life and attempting to survive hordes of zombies.

Oh Joon-woo is alone in his family’s apartment when the apocalypse begins. People start turning into zombies and terrorizing Seoul, and Oh Joon-woo is forced to stay inside the apartment.

The film has a restless and intense style, and Oh Joon-woo’s survival looks increasingly unlikely as the movie develops.

Heartbreaking scenes, gore, and horror are entangled in this amazing zombie apocalypse movie, which strikes a good balance between the action scenes, the emotional parts, and the scary moments.

Intense and crude, just like we like.

Critics

“#Alive is an entertaining zombie flick that seems tailor-made for the time of coronavirus. […] On top of its empathetic and socially relevant depiction of the Korean millennial condition, #Alive presents a narrative that feels unpretentious and accessibly entertaining.”
Anthony Kao, Cinema Escapist.

“#Alive accurately captures the same panic, fear, uncertainty, loneliness, and isolation experienced by many during the pandemic’s early days. […] By taking a concept unfamiliar to the sub-genre, #Alive transforms how zombie movies can be handled as well as providing an exploration of the different circumstances individuals find themselves when dealing with the apocalypse.”
