It has been confirmed that Harvey Dent will appear in the film played by Harry Lawtey.
It is no secret that we will see Gotham’s most crucial lawyer on the big screen. But what needs to be confirmed is whether we will see Two Faces.
Let’s see some comments from actor Harry Lawtey.
When asked if he would get the role in the film, these were his answers.

I had absolutely zero expectation that this part could possibly go my way, so it just felt like a free hit in that sense.
And honestly, Lawtey’s point of view can make some sense. He’s a young actor that people are not used to seeing in this kind of film. But I think that’s what can help him be an outstanding Harvey Dent. Maybe I’m going to say something rebellious, but there’s a great chance for Lawtey to be one of the most memorable Harvey Dents that we have so far.
“Why?” you may ask because Harry Lawtey tends to portray complex, morally ambiguous characters who occupy the grey area between the good and the bad. His roles tend to reflect people in high-pressure environments, often struggling with inner conflict, ambition, and vulnerability. So yeah, he may be one of the film’s biggest surpris
What’s your favourite thing about your character?
“I think one of the wonderful things about these comic-book characters is they’re almost, in the modern cultural landscape, quite Shakespearean,”
These comments show that Lawtey sees his character as a versatile archetype.
Perhaps, at his core, he represents the same idea that we all know and fear about Dent: the environment can change and create new ways of interpreting each version of Harvey Dent.
This type of character is similar to Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, who hide their evil side and fight with it, but it’s only a matter of time before the monster is unleashed. That’s the spirit of Two Faces.
Dent Is The Clown.

I think we can be almost certain that this Harvey Dent will take a very different approach from his predecessors. This is a much younger version of the Harvey we are used to. Even if we’ve seen a little bit of Dent, it is clear that Todd is working on something for the mythic character, and I can bet that it will be crucial for the story.

There will be a great debate, Dent vs. Arthur. In a heated public encounter, one side defends the old values and structure of Gotham City, while the other is fed up with the misery of the lower classes. At least, that’s the hint we can take from the trailer.
It’s also evident that Lawtey respects the character and is committed to all that Harvey Dent represents.
But what I want to know is… is he committed to the dark side of Dent? Perhaps we will see a vague hint of Harvey’s future in this film or, with luck and prayers, see the whole monster for ourselves. See Two-Faces.
